Mr. Fujiwara,
President of Internet Research Institute, Inc.
Hiroshi Fujiwara is currently the President and CEO of Internet Research Institute, Inc. (IRI), guest professor of Aizu Univ. , and visiting lecturer of Tama Art Univ. Born in 1954, Mr. Fujiwara earned a Bachelor of Science from Kyoto Univ. in 1977 and a Ph.D. in electronic-information engineering from Tokyo Univ. After service with IBM Japan and Hitachi engineering, he joined ASCII Corp. in 1985. From 1987 to March 1998, he served as head of an R&D company sponsored by the Ministry of Postal Services. During that time, he engaged in the study of high speed image encoding, computer-based communication, broadcasting, and information exchange networking among storage media. Mr. Fujiwara established IRI in 1996.
