Coriolis mass flowmeter combines enhanced performance with applications versatility
Yokogawa’s new AAASuite is a comprehensive alarm management system that optimises and enhances process alarms issued by control systems.
The new RotaMASS 3 Series Coriolis mass flowmeter from Yokogawa UK builds on the success of RotaMASS, Yokogawa's best-in-class instrument, by incorporating a number of enhancements in performance as well as features that extend its versatility.
Like earlier versions, the new product features discrete, parallel, thick-walled, seamless tubes that are uniquely decoupled from process vibration and pipeline stress, making it both robust and reliable. Its ability to operate over the temperature range from –200° to +350°C makes it equally suited to cryogenic, molten liquid, and sanitary applications.
The RotaMASS 3 Series is easy to install, and has a fully sanitary, self-draining design that meets EHEDG requirements. Steam tracing and thermal insulation are available as options. Other enhanced performance features include a pressure rating of 250 bar, the ability to handle gas and solid content up to 20%, and increased system accuracy to within 0.1%.
An additional enhancement to the RotaMASS 3 Series is a new state-of-the-art convertor for either remote or integral mounting. Features provided by the convertor include menu-driven HART configuration in multiple languages, enhanced operational and maintenance diagnostics, ease of configuration through a menu-driven 4-line display, and density and temperature measurements for concentration measurements such as BRIX. The integral version has a maximum temperature rating of 150°C, while the remote converter may be positioned up to 300 m from the sensor.
The field-proven ‘box-in-box’ design of the sensor with its thick-walled parallel tubes guarantees performance and reliability under the toughest of operating conditions. The measuring tubes are available in 316SS, Hastelloy C22, Hastelloy B, and titanium for maximum application flexibility.
