Webster defines Quality as, “an essential characteristic, property, or attribute.” We like the word essential in this definition. Never before has quality been more essential than it is today.
Another definition for quality comes from Mikel J. Harry, founder of the Six Sigma Academy in Scottsdale, AZ states, "Quality is a state in which value entitlement is realized for the customer and provider in every aspect of the business relationship."
At Yokogawa, we believe our customers define quality for us. Therefore the definition of quality we have adopted is, “providing the products and services that consistently meets the expectations and needs of the customer.” This is our quality pledge to our customers.
