Concluding the series of 90th anniversary events, the Yokogawa
Technology Innovation Fair was held from October 26 to 29 at the Century Hyatt Tokyo
Hotel in Shinjuku, central Tokyo, logging a total of over 7,000 visitors. The Industrial
Automation Marketing Division hosted two events during the fair: the Global Symposium
on October 27 and a press conference on October 28.
The Technology Innovation Fair exhibition introduced Yokogawa’s latest solutions,
vision for the future, and the technology that will make that a reality, with the
aim of building stronger relationships with our customers. Visitors toured three
zones entitled “The Origins,” “The Solutions,” and “The Future” that allowed them
to experience our past, present, and future paths. October 26 was set aside for
a private preview for VIPs, investors, and analysts. Customers and general shareholders
were invited to attend on October 27 and 28. The fair was open to students, Yokogawa
employees and sales representatives, and their families on October 29.
The Global Symposium took place on October 27 in a hotel banquet room and had the
theme “The clear path to operational excellence.” Attendees included 26 executives
from major global accounts in the IA industry such as oil giant Shell, as well as
34 journalists from the US, Singapore, China, UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany,
France, Austria, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, and Japan.
Six Yokogawa HQ executives—President and CEO Isao Uchida, Executive Vice Presidents
Akira Nagashima and Teruyoshi Minaki, and Vice Presidents Shuzo Kaihori, Hiroshi
Yuhara, and Junji Yamamoto—also joined in along with 12 managing directors/presidents
of overseas affiliates. Satoru Kurosu, Division General Manager of the IA Marketing
Division, acted as the MC for both the symposium and the press conference. |
