This course is designed to discuss and demonstrate the value-add features of Yokogawa’s versatile device management tool. Students will learn how they can use these features to maximize their return on investment and improve work processes. This course includes a resource CD with presentations and other pertinent materials discussed during the class.
Topics covered include:
- FieldMate Basic and Advanced version functionality
- Use cases for FieldMate deployment
- Work flow process changes that maximize FieldMate usage
- Relationship between FieldMate and PRM solutions
This course uses live demonstrations of the following features:
- Using Device Viewer to recognize and troubleshoot device alarms
- Device replacement using DTM Works and Parameter Manager
- Creating custom device templates for faster device configuration
- Tracking device information using Device Maintenance Tool
- Utilizing the User Management Tool for an improved audit trail
- Updating DTM and DD files to add new vendor features and functionality

 This course will be taught by Chris Schneider. Chris is a 9-year Yokogawa employee with an extensive background in Yokogawa’s field instrumentation and advanced diagnostics offering. As an engineer in the Advanced Solutions group, Chris provides end users guidance on best practices for deploying Yokogawa’s products and solutions in the field. Chris is actively involved in HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and FDT/DTM global activities.
