High Conductivity Sensors ISC40/SC42

For applications with high conductivity levels, toroidal and 4-electrode sensors are most suitable because of their high measuring ranges.

The ISC40 and SC42 large bore conductivity sensors are ideal for high conductivity applications. Suitable for any application except for the (ultra) pure water applications, the ISC40 has only one cell factor (constant) and covers nearly the entire measurement range with a range of 1-2,000,000 µS/cm.

If the ISC40 cannot be used, the SC42 large bore sensor is recommended, featuring a 4-electrode design and a range of 20.0-2,000,000 µS/cm. All sensors have a pre-calibrated cell constant and a built-in temperature element for automatic temperature compensation.

How does an Industrial Conductivity Sensor Work?

Industrial solution/ water conductivity sensors measure solutions' ability to carry an electric current and test liquid purity. The conductivity sensor probe detects ions or charged particles that carry the flow of a current, and if the solution is ultrapure with no ions, the solution will not conduct any current when voltage is introduced.

Overview:

There are many points in the processing of edible fats and oils that benefit from the use of analytical measurements. Inductive conductivity, contacting conductivity, gas density, and pH can be utilized to increase the quality of the end product, as well as protecting expensive processes.

Application Note
Overview:

Conductivity measurement can be used as a reliable indicator of the real-time brine concentration. Using an online process analyzer removes the need for timely grab sample analysis.

With an Ohm meter check the following wires on the ISC40G sensor cable: 11 to 12 (Pt1000 or Thermistor) 13 to 17 – Sensor coil – expect low resistance. If unstable or above 100Ω it is bad. 15 to 16 - Sensor coil – ex...
You can test the ISC converter by simulating a conductivity reading using an ISC40 sensor. You will need: A known working ISC40 sensor. A piece of wire One or two decade box/resistance sources. Connect sensor wires 13-17 to analyzer. ...
