Introduction
Yokogawa Technical Services provide extensive training for all levels of plant personnel to maximise the benefits of their skills.

Yokogawa’s experience in training people from different industries is reflected in its training courses. Using the latest technologies and incorporating customer needs has led to a comprehensive collection of courses for plant managers, operators, engineers, specialists, maintenance technicians and other staff.

Courses range from computer-based operator training packages, to comprehensive 5-day courses on the configuration and optimisation of complete control and safety systems. In addition to a number of standard courses, individual programmes can be customised to meet user requirements and to provide the correct balance between different areas of interest and between theory and practical ‘hands on’ exercises.

Yokogawa has experience in training people from a wide variety of industries, and at varying levels of complexity. This experience is reflected in the differing courses that the company can offer.

Training packages
For all training, the objective is to provide the participants with sufficient relevant information in a relatively short time. Depending on the type of training, the gained knowledge may be of a theoretical or practical nature. As a result, participants will feel confident during their future involvement in industry, ensuring maximum profit for their investment.

Materials
For each course, Yokogawa prepares course manuals for all participants. The necessary demonstration and training equipment is on hand to provide practical support for the theoretical concepts discussed. Training equipment, training courses for training personnel and a range of training materials are also offered for sale; quotations can be provided on request.

Location
Regular training courses are conducted at Yokogawa’s SA headquarters in Johannesburg. Alternatively, standard and customised courses can be conducted on site or at customer-arranged venues.
