Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that it has received the IR Special Award from the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA). This is the second time that the company has received the award since 2019.
The IR Awards*, now in their 27th year, recognize companies that have demonstrated a good understanding of investment relations issues and have demonstrated outstanding effectiveness in their investor relations activities. In 2022, 344 companies applied for an award. Of these, two companies were selected for the IR Grand Prix Award, six received the Best IR Award, three took the IR Special Award, and two received a Best IR Award for Encouragement.
JIRA's statement on the reasons for Yokogawa's selection:
Yokogawa Electric has continued to conduct IR activities even when the business environment has been severe and has fostered credibility in its information disclosure. The company has been vigorously holding business briefings and ESG briefings and has enhanced their content. The company’s efforts to devise ways to better explain difficult-to-understand business fields, such as the solution business, have also been highly evaluated. Top management emphasizes IR and is increasing opportunities for dialogue with institutional investors. Yokogawa Electric’s activities to increase the number of long-term investors as fans of the company, such as holding briefings for individual investors at the headquarters and factories, are also noted.
Yokogawa will continue working to improve transparency by making fair, timely, and appropriate disclosures of important information concerning the company, thereby maintaining and strengthening relationships based on trust with all stakeholders, including shareholders and investors.
