{"id":967,"date":"2017-02-01T07:06:57","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T06:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.blogs.yokogawa.de\/chemical-pharma\/uncategorized\/confirmed-expertise-in-flow-measurements\/"},"modified":"2022-06-17T09:28:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-17T07:28:00","slug":"confirmed-expertise-in-flow-measurements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/eu\/blog\/chemical-pharma\/en\/confirmed-expertise-in-flow-measurements\/","title":{"rendered":"Confirmed \u2013 expertise in flow measurements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>NAMUR WG 3.9 Type Testing visits Rota Yokogawa<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/rota-de\/\">Rota Yokogawa<\/a>, Yokogawa\u2019s production facility and center of excellence for flow measurement technology on the River Rhine in the Black Forest, played host to NAMUR WG 3.9 on November 23 and 24.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.namur.net\/de\/arbeitsfelder-u-projektgruppen\/af-3-feldgeraete\/ak-39-typpruefung-fuer-plt-geraete.html\">NAMUR WG 3.9<\/a> is dedicated to type testing of instruments and the associated NAMUR recommendations. The Working Group\u2019s representatives gained first-hand insights into Yokogawa\u2019s expertise in the field of flow measurement technology and engaged in stimulating face-to-face conversations with developers and product specialists.<\/p>\n<p>The NAMUR Working Group 3.9 was represented by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr. Slaby, EVONIK Technology &amp; Infrastructure GmbH, Head of the Working Group, his colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Seintsch and Mr. Essig of Bilfinger Maintenance GmbH,<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Kesten of BASF, and<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Kachel of TECTRION<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Flow calibration redefined<\/h3>\n<p>The first item on the agenda was an introduction to our brand new flow calibration system \u2013 the only one of its kind in the world \u2013 with numerous high-tech details. Assorted other issues were then addressed and discussed in an open and communicative manner. NAMUR Recommendation 53, which deals with information on hardware and software modifications, was just one of the topics covered.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SIL \/ standard product warehousing,<\/li>\n<li>environmental aspects and<\/li>\n<li>the focal theme <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/de\/loesungen\/industrie-4-0.htm?nid=megadlist\">IoT \/ Industry 4.0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>were also touched on.<\/p>\n<h3>NAMUR quality and requirements successfully implemented<\/h3>\n<p>Yokogawa \u2013 already well-established in the oil &amp; gas industry as well as in large sections of the global chemical industry \u2013 is something of a newcomer in the process industries which are NAMUR\u2019s traditional domain. Yokogawa\u2019s expertise and deep commitment in flow technology convinced the WG 3.9 representatives that we have understood the meaning of NAMUR quality and requirements, and that we have implemented them in the latest product generation \u2013 with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/de\/fld\/durchfluss\/coriolis\/rotamass-total-insight.htm\">new Rotamass TI (Total Insight)<\/a> at the forefront.<\/p>\n<h3>Global chemical producers \u201cgo local\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Following the demonstration of the calibration system and the subsequent detailed discussions and passionate exchanges, it was time for something on a lighter note.
