Interview with Hividar Omar<\/h2>\n

LIB Blog:<\/strong> Thanks for joining the interview. Could you briefly introduce yourself?<\/em><\/p>\n

Hividar Omar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Hividar Omar: <\/strong>Hello, my name is Hividar Omar. I have been an administrative employee at Yokogawa Germany GmbH for one year and eight months.<\/p>\n

First, I started working in the Process Control Instrumentation department.<\/p>\n

Since April 2021, I transferred to the Life Innovation Business<\/a> department. Due to my medical engineering studies, I can apply my acquired knowledge regarding sales strategies and project management in this department. Further, I also support order handling.<\/p>\n

Working as an Administrative Employee<\/h2>\n

LIB Blog:<\/strong> As an administrative employee, what are your main tasks?<\/em><\/p>\n

Hividar Omar:<\/strong> My main tasks are, for example, first-level customer support and customer care. Additionally, I support the project business.<\/p>\n

LIB Blog:<\/strong> What do you like most about your job?<\/p>\n

Hividar Omar:<\/strong> As an Administrative employee, I am the first point of contact for international and national clients.<\/p>\n

Through the experience I gained in the Process Control Instrumentation department, my intercultural knowledge increased. I was able to acquire skills in various customer consultations and support as well as order processing.<\/p>\n

What I also like about my job is the teamwork<\/a> and the high-motivated atmosphere.<\/p>\n

In addition, every day is structured differently, which also helps me personally, because as they say, ‘you don’t grow through routine’. It\u2019s the stepping out of your comfort zone that enables you to grow personally.<\/p>\n

Why Hividar Omar studies Medical Engineering<\/h2>\n

LIB Blog:<\/strong> Why did you decide to study medical engineering?<\/p>\n

Hividar Omar:<\/strong> I have always been interested in human anatomy and diagnostic technology.<\/p>\n

Before I started to study medical engineering, I had already completed an internship in a practice for orthopedics and trauma surgery. This increased my interest in both fields of anatomy and the technology for diagnostics.<\/p>\n

For this reason, I decided to study medical engineering, and it exactly met my expectations.<\/p>\n

The course offers many modules, for example, medical image processing, in which different software for different applications is used.<\/p>\n

It was also very interesting to see the cost structures of the health care system in Germany. Even rather \u201cdry\u201d topics like financing systems and the social, legal, economical, and administrative bases of our national health care system were interesting for me. For me, I have chosen the ideal course and I definitely would like to support the LIB<\/a> team after my master thesis.<\/p>\n

Working as a Student at Yokogawa<\/h2>\n

LIB Blog:<\/strong> So far, what do you like most about working at Yokogawa?<\/em><\/p>\n

Hividar Omar:<\/strong> After almost two years, I feel that the work at Yokogawa Germany<\/a> GmbH is very future-oriented, based on the slogan “Co-innovating tomorrow”.<\/p>\n

Especially in the time of digitalization, the whole company supports the attitude of digitalizing certain processes.
\nI also really enjoy how much support you get as a student. With help from HR and my manager, I can plan my career after receiving the master’s degree.<\/p>\n
