El mes pasado visit\u00e9 una empresa que fabrica productos qu\u00edmicos especiales. Al principio dialogamos sobre las condiciones del mercado y la situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica actual de la empresa. No me sorprendi\u00f3 escuchar que les est\u00e1 yendo bien porque, a lo largo de los a\u00f1os, han cambiado su estrategia de proveedor general a proveedor especializado. Como resultado de esta estrategia, tambi\u00e9n han podido reducir sus costes. La mayor parte del ahorro se logr\u00f3 introduciendo una estructura organizativa <em>lean and mean<\/em>, lo que dio lugar a un equipo relativamente peque\u00f1o como responsable de la producci\u00f3n. Crearon un sistema integrado de producci\u00f3n sin desperdicio de recursos.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQui\u00e9n es el ganador del desaf\u00edo <em>lean and mean<\/em>?<\/h2>\n<p>El desaf\u00edo trat\u00e1ndose de la estrategia <em>lean and mean<\/em>, es\u00a0<strong>\u00ab\u00bfd\u00f3nde se para?\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0Las condiciones del mercado obligar\u00e1n a los fabricantes a trabajar de forma m\u00e1s inteligente y a un coste a\u00fan menor. En principio, creo que un trabajo m\u00e1s inteligente centr\u00e1ndose en la reducci\u00f3n de costes (un sin\u00f3nimo de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/eu\/blog\/oil-gas\/en\/digital-transformation-impacts-plant\/\">transformaci\u00f3n digital<\/a>) son requisitos previos para la supervivencia de un fabricante con sede en Europa. En mi opini\u00f3n,\u00a0<strong>no hay mercado para las empresas que no est\u00e1n dispuestas a cambiar<\/strong>\u00a0y que siguen suministrando productos o servicios gen\u00e9ricos y que simplemente intentan reducir sus costes. Es preciso tener una visi\u00f3n hol\u00edstica, tener en cuenta el panorama general.<\/p>\n<p>Volviendo a mi reuni\u00f3n con la direcci\u00f3n de la empresa que he mencionado antes, discutimos las opciones para ahorrar energ\u00eda.\u00a0<strong>Muchos fabricantes se enfrentan a grandes facturas de energ\u00eda.<\/strong> En este caso concreto, la factura de combustibles para energ\u00eda (principalmente gas natural) supera los 20 millones de euros anuales. La mayor parte de esta energ\u00eda es utilizada por la planta para producir vapor. El ahorro de energ\u00eda ya es un reto, y ahora es un reto a\u00fan mayor a la luz de las nuevas regulaciones relativas a las emisiones y al di\u00f3xido de carbono. Por suerte existen numerosas opciones para ahorrar energ\u00eda, como la monitorizaci\u00f3n mediante un riguroso modelado.<\/p>\n<p>Con un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tue.nl\/en\/university\/departments\/electrical-engineering\/research-groups\/control-systems-cs\/research\/process-systems\/model-based-control-and-optimization\/improvise\/\">riguroso modelado<\/a>, la planta real se simula por completo en un modelo que se ejecuta en un servidor. Una vez que esta planta ha sido modelada por completo y alimentada con datos de campo en tiempo real, los usuarios pueden ver el consumo de energ\u00eda, la eficiencia, los desajustes y las emisiones de un vistazo. Con la ayuda de este modelo, tambi\u00e9n llamado \u201cdigital twin\u201d o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/library\/resources\/media-publications\/combining-the-power-of-digital-twins-with-cloud-based-collaboration-assures-optimal-refinery-performance\/\">gemelo digital<\/a>, pueden monitorizar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica de la planta y simular varios escenarios, por ejemplo, para determinar el impacto del cambio de la caldera, del combustible o de la propulsi\u00f3n (p. ej., de vapor a el\u00e9ctrica). La monitorizaci\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda permite a la direcci\u00f3n vigilar de cerca la cantidad de energ\u00eda que se ahorra durante un per\u00edodo de tiempo.<\/p>\n<h2>Atrapado<\/h2>\n<p>Para muchas empresas, el ahorro de energ\u00eda es un beneficio de bajo coste, por lo que creo que no hay que pensarlo dos veces y est\u00e1 totalmente en concordancia con la estrategia de la empresa. Adem\u00e1s, la sociedad espera que los fabricantes cumplan con su reivindicaci\u00f3n de que van a contribuir a poner soluci\u00f3n a los desaf\u00edos ambientales. Sin embargo, la realidad es m\u00e1s brutal debido a \u00abla trampa del <em>lean and mean\u00bb<\/em>. A la direcci\u00f3n de la empresa le gust\u00f3 enormemente nuestra propuesta de valor y tambi\u00e9n estaban convencidos de que pod\u00eda ahorrarles mucho dinero. Sin embargo, a pesar de esto, la inversi\u00f3n en la monitorizaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda basada en modelos fue rechazada moment\u00e1neamente porque <strong>no ten\u00edan recursos para realizar el proyecto.<\/strong> En otras palabras, l<strong>a empresa tiene una organizaci\u00f3n tan <em>lean and mean <\/em>que carece de recursos para cambiar su proceso de negocio en cuanto a energ\u00eda<\/strong>, a pesar de que les ayudar\u00eda a ahorrar dinero y a resolver los retos medioambientales.<\/p>\n<h2>Perspectiva<\/h2>\n<p>Este es un obst\u00e1culo que tambi\u00e9n afecta a otras empresas. Tienen tantas nuevas oportunidades para mejorar y ahorrar dinero con el contexto de la convergencia de IIoT, Industria 4.0 e IT \/ OT, como restricciones de recursos que hacen que la mayor\u00eda de estos proyectos no puedan lanzarse.\u00a0<strong>Tal vez sea hora de invertir m\u00e1s en recursos y conocimiento para salir de \u00abla trampa del <em>lean and mean\u00bb<\/em>, para que las empresas puedan hacer la transici\u00f3n con el apoyo de la tecnolog\u00eda y estar preparadas para las condiciones de mercado del futuro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00bfHa o\u00eddo hablar alguna vez de \u00abla trampa del lean and mean\u00bb?
