In dit artikel leggen we u uit hoe cavitatie wordt veroorzaakt en wat de beste manier is om het te voorkomen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pompen die in proces- en productie-installaties worden gebruikt, lopen regelmatig schade op door cavitatie. Het is een vaak voorkomend probleem: het opzuigend effect aan de zuigkant kan een tijdelijk vacu\u00fcm scheppen. Zelfs bij normale temperaturen kan dit vacu\u00fcm leiden tot luchtbellen in de vloeistof. Dit fysieke effect vermindert niet alleen het pompvolume of de pompdoorsnede van de leiding, het veroorzaakt ook schade aan de onderdelen van de pomp. Dit verminderd uiteindelijk de levensduur van de pomp.<\/p>\n<p>Slijtage in een pomp is lastig vroeg te detecteren. Vaak komt u er pas achter wanneer er ernstige schade is opgetreden. De nieuwe Yokogawa cavitatie detectie systeem lost dit probleem op en helpt ernstige schade aan de pomp te voorkomen. Zo kan het onderhoudspersoneel tijdig geschikte maatregelen nemen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Hoe werkt het cavitatie detectie systeem?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Zelfs de kleinste veranderingen in de drukverschil aan de aanzuigkant van de pomp worden gedetecteerd met behulp van een druksensor, die onderdeel is van het IIoT-systeem. De druksensor stuurt deze gegevens in real time naar het evaluatiesysteem. Door deze drukgegevens te analyseren, kun je achterhalen of cavitatie plaatsvindt. Deze informatie is cruciaal voor onderhoudsdoeleinden en vormt de basis voor het plannen van onderhoudsintervallen op lange termijn. Op deze manier voorkomt u hoge onderhoudskosten.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Slechte pompwerking en de oorzaken ervan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In bijna elke fabriek van de procesindustrie moeten vloeibare (grond)stoffen van punt A naar punt B worden verplaatst. Afhankelijk van het te verplaatsen volume kunnen de pompen die hiervoor worden gebruikt erg prijzig zijn. Uiteraard zal schade van grote pompen leiden tot productiviteitsverlies en kan in het ergste geval de hele fabriek stilleggen. Daarom hebben veel plant operators geen andere keus dan dubbele systemen in te voeren. Dit complexe en onvoordelige proces kan worden voorkomen door de procescondities continue te monitoren.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/eu\/blog\/oil-gas\/en\/5-flow-meter-installation-tips\/\">Cavitatie<\/a>\u00a0is een natuurkundig fenomeen: het aanzuigeffect veroorzaakt een tijdelijk vacu\u00fcm aan de leidingwand. Zelfs bij normale omgevingstemperaturen kan dit vacu\u00fcm leiden tot luchtbellen in de vloeistof. Als de vloeistof de pomp bereikt of in de turbine van de pomp belandt, verandert het vacu\u00fcm in positieve druk en zakken de luchtbellen ineen &#8212; zo \u201ccaviteren\u201d ze. De holle ruimtes worden met damp gevuld. Deze zogenaamde \u201cmicrojet\u201d beweegt tegen de snelheid van ultrasoon geluid en is sterk genoeg om het metalen oppervlak van de turbine van de pomp te beschadigen. Tegelijkertijd produceert de cavitatie van luchtbellen een enorme trilling in het systeem, zodat het geluidsniveau stijgt. Dit geluid is duidelijk hoorbaar.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1182\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1182\" style=\"width: 793px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1182\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yokogawa.com\/eu\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/09\/Cavitation-1-300x126.jpg\" alt=\"Cavitatie 1\" width=\"793\" height=\"333\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1182\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Afb. 1: Fasen en voortekenen van cavitatie in pompen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Afbeelding 1 toont de verschillende fasen van cavitatie. Vaak wordt cavitatie pas opgemerkt wanneer het onderhoudspersoneel abnormale geluiden of trillingen hoort of voelt. Tegen die tijd hebben de pomp en ook alle bijbehorende onderdelen zoals de motor, de bewakingsinstrumenten en de upstream of downstream leidingen, al aanzienlijke schade opgelopen.<\/p>\n<p>Omdat cavitatie serieuze gevolgen heeft, wordt er rekening gehouden met de opstelling van de leidingen tijdens het ontwerpen van een fabriek. Toch veranderen de verwerkingsprocessen, de toestand van de installatie en de omgeving onvermijdelijk in de loop van de tijd, die cavitatie weer bevorderen.
