Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that it has been selected for inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index.
The FTSE4Good Index Series is a globally well-known group of stock market indexes for socially responsible investment (SRI) that were developed by FTSE Russell, a member of the London Stock Exchange Group. These indexes include as their constituents companies that have been assessed as having strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices that meet a set of universal criteria. The FTSE4Good Index Series is regarded as an essential source of information by investors who wish to invest in companies that are socially responsible and follow sustainable business practices. As of June 2017, a total of 883 companies, including 146 Japanese companies, were listed in these indexes.
The FTSE Blossom Japan Index was also developed by FTSE Russell, and it lists companies that are all considered to have strong ESG practices. As of June 2017, 151 Japanese companies were listed in this index.
Encouraged by its inclusion for the first time in the FTSE4Good Index Series and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, Yokogawa will redouble its efforts to address social issues and work toward the goal of realizing a sustainable society.
