Addressing customer management concerns

Over the years that we have been in business, we have noticed certain common customer management concerns across every industry.

Our customers have priorities in manufacturing that involve operational expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX), based on industry trends. With regard to OPEX, we have organized customer concerns into four categories.

For OPEX, managing "Safety & Security" risks is the first priority for plant management.Maintaining high "Availability & Reliability" is the key to sound business continuity. Eliminating unplanned outages is the highest level concern, since the largest plant losses are due to unplanned outages that may amount to double or triple digit millions in US dollars per year. Both of these are key in building a mission critical system."Efficiency" is the key to improving profitability and business performance by optimizing energy, production, operations, supply chain etc. "Human reliability", which can manifest as human-related errors of judgment and operational errors, is a factor in the other three concerns. According to a survey, 40% of unplanned shutdowns in the industry sector are caused by operator errors.

For CAPEX, mitigating project risks on complex automation and information systems is very important to achieving success.
