Introducing the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus enabled digitalYEWFLO Multivariable Vortex

Fieldbus is a two-way digital communication system. It is a revolutionary technology for configuring instrumentation control systems and a promising successor to the standard 4 to 20mA analog communication used in most field instruments today.  By combining Fieldbus communications with digitalYEWFLO's ability to simultaneously output analog and pulse readings for flowrate, temperature, mass flowrate and total flowrate, a greater variety of powerful flow control applications are possible.


Specifications

The Fieldbus model of the digitalYEWFLO adopts FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus Low Voltage Mode, a specification standardized by the Fieldbus FOUNDATIONTM, which ensures interoperability between Yokogawa and other manufacturers. As for software, the digitalYEWFLO series incorporates two AI function blocks and one DI function block (option: Link Master function) that compute flowrate output and temperature output (with Multivariable type), limit switch signal output for FLOW/TEMP(with multivariable type), mass flowrate from the temperature output signal. This allows for flexible configuration of instrumentation.

All DY and DYA models are Fieldbus enabled (output code: F) and conform to the EN61326 and AS/NZS2064 EMC standards

           Digital communication signals compliant with the FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocol
Supply voltage:
           9 to 32 V DC for general-purpose and flameproof types
           9 to 24 V DC for intrinsically safe type (Entity model)
           9 to 17.5 V DC for intrinsically safe type (FISCO model)
Communications line:
           Supply voltage: 9 to 32 V DC
           Supply current: 11mA (maximum)
Function specifications:
           Function blocks:
AI function blocks (2): AI1 monitors the flowrate and totalized flow rate
                                 AI2 monitors the temperature (if the multivariable type)
DI function blocks (2): for flow and temperature limit switches
PID block (1): for models with LC1 option
Link master functionality (for models with LC1 option)
