Appropriate selection of distributed temperature measurement can prevent unexpected technological failures and also increase safety and health.

For long distances as well as better coverage of temperature measurement areas, it is technically and economically suitable to use a distributed temperature measurement system using an optical cable.

The DTSX optical temperature sensor can measure the temperature distribution along the entire length of the optical cable. The EN54-22 certified system can then be used for fire detection.

Suitable applications are road and railway tunnels, temperature control of cable harnesses, conveyor belts.
