We observe waveform of the analog circuit using the DL1540CL Just in Scope. For a storage oscilloscope with 4 channels, we are very satisfied with its functionality and cost-performance. We use it in the lab, so its fairly large screen yet compact overall size is a plus, and the large number of waveforms that it can capture also helps a lot.
We also work with the DL7100 Signal Explorer which can simultaneously measure 16 bit logic signals on 4 channels. Since we are in charge of servos we often view analog waveforms, but the logic analyzers we had been using only allowed us to measure analog on 2 channels, and so we had to perform 2 sets of measurements each time. With the DL7100, we can view analog signals and digital control bus signals simultaneously, and this helps improve our development efficiency. The function that allows us to search through data acquired to the long memory is extremely effective. It's convenient because we can search for desired data bus signals, count the rising and falling edges and detect any particular edge, and we can use the pulse count function to do the track count on the optical disk.
