"At Matsushita it is our responsibility to develop electronic circuit blocks for fluorescent lamp ballast inverters. We selected the PZ4000 because of its cost-effective performance and its excellent accuracy at high frequencies. We used Yokogawa's digital power meters before. Only the PZ4000, however, enables observation of both sine waves input to the inverter, and electrical parameters on the same screen. Additionally, the PZ4000 is vital for measuring the harmonic's level used to decrease the harmonic distortion of input current as required by (class C) IEC regulations for lighting fixtures. The PZ4000 is a digital power meter based on a new concept. A single PZ can do a whole range of things from waveform observations to power analysis, and easily save data to a floppy to create reports with a PC."
