Integrated Production Control System
CENTUM VP has a simple and common architecture which covers a variety of plant sizes and industries.
Human Interface Station (HIS)
CENTM VP has adopted the latest Windows OS-based operating system, commercial-off-the-shelf PC hardware for the human machine interface. HIS is provided with an optional specialized operator keyboard for operator consoles. Both desk top and console types of HIS are selectable as well as wide or standard monitors. Universal colors are applied for the basic design of the operating windows. Control data on the HIS is refreshed by 1-second. Functions of consolidated alarm management software (CAMS for HIS) is provided.
Engineering Station (ENG)
With the same PC features mentioned above, the engineering station installed with comprehensive engineering packages, such as graphic builder, PID control, sequence control and others, for all plant environments is used for configuring the CENTUM VP system.

Field Control Station (FCS)
100% Yokogawa manufactured. This is the core of CENTUM VP's high availability/reliability, continuing the CENTUM heritage. FCS is selectable from rack mount or cabinet types for scalable system configuration.
Unified Gateway Station (UGS)
Bus Converter (BCV)
V net Router serves as a BCV interfacing hardware that connects multiple control networks. It connects previous CENTUM series systems to CENTUM VP, which enables customers to upgrade their systems in phases, with minimum investments by utilizing the existing systems as much as possible.
Vnet/IP, an Ethernet compliant to IEEE802.3 or IEC 61784-2 Ed.2.0 standards provides redundant network of operating at 1 Gbps, incorporates Yokogawa's technology, achieving deterministic, reliable, and secure communications.

CENTUM VP supports FOUNDATION™ fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, Modbus, Modbus/TCP, and Ethernet/IP. It gives customers freedom of selecting field devices out of applications, capability, reliability, or pricing regardless of the communication protocols. With abundant process data acquired from intelligent field devices, it contributes to perform preventive or predictive maintenance of the plant assets as well as to introduce advanced control operations.
ProSafe-RS Safety Control Station (SCS)
TÜV SIL3 certified safety instrumented controller which can be fully integrated with CENTUM VP to ensure the plant is shut down safely in case of emergency. ProSafe-RS has passed the Achilles V1.2 test conducted by Wurdtech Security Inc. proving the robust protection against cyber attacks.
