FAST/TOOLS Features

Web-based Supervisory System

FAST/TOOLS personalized visualization human machine interface (HMI) is fully web-based and allows the operator to easily and intuitively navigate through the operator displays like a browser. The HMI is designed for web deployment and delivers the benefits of advanced web technology.

Web-based Supervisory System

screen The FAST/TOOLS HMI is fully based on a distributed web based client/server architecture. FAST/TOOLS brings changes in the information power of process mimics and in the performance of display engineering, enabling a much more intuitive and advanced approach to process visualization. These improvements reduce both operator error and maintenance costs while enhancing display development.

The FAST/TOOLS HMI consists of a web-based HMI server and a web-based HMI client that can either run separately from the FAST/TOOLS server or be installed together with the FAST/TOOLS server environment. This makes it possible for a browser such as Microsoft Explorer to be used as an interface for the supervisory system.

Web-based HMI

The new visualization editor is based on scalable vector graphics (SVG), allowing shapes and symbols to be intuitively manipulated in virtually any way. This combines the power of today's most sophisticated graphical editors in a single package, incorporating advanced features like dynamic layers and visibility groups.
The FAST/TOOLS web-based HMI enables a zero deployment strategy that delivers a rich user experience to the client location with a minimum of fuss.

FAST/TOOLS R9.05

Alarm System Performance Analysis

FAST/TOOLS ASPA delivers critical statistical views and tools which are required to analyze the level of performance in relation to the guidelines of EEMUA 191.

ASPA supports the alarm system performance improvement processes to avoid operator overload and reduce the risk of critical alarms being overlooked, causing wrong or to late decisions putting safety as well as the continuity and quality of production at stake.
