Pressure Transmitters

Pressure transmitters are used to measure the pressure or level of industrial liquids and gases. The output is transmitted to a control system. Accurate and stable process measurements ensure the safe, reliable, and profitable operation of your plant.

Compact, lightweight, intuitive and intelligent, Yokogawa pressure instruments simplify all aspects of handling, commissioning, installation, operation, and maintenance while delivering outstanding performance. Whether installed in the harsh environment of an offshore platform or a refinery in the burning desert heat, our DPharp series delivers accurate, repeatable, and high integrity process measurements.

Product Lifecycle Initiatives Related
to the Environmental Contribution of Products
Pressure Transmitter Initiatives
Design Carbon footprint
  • Pressure transmitters are designed using LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), and their environmental impacts are calculated and reduced compared to previous models.
  • Pressure transmitters are accompanied by product manuals that are being shifted from paper to web publication, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact.
Procurement Sustainable materials
  • Pressure transmitters are finished with powder coating as part of ongoing efforts to reduce VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
  • Pressure transmitters are built with materials and parts prioritized for low environmental impact, based on the YOKOGAWA Green Procurement Guidelines.
Production Environmental risk management
  • Pressure transmitters are designed and managed in compliance with domestic and international environmental regulations (RoHS, REACH, etc.), with hazardous substances thoroughly controlled and environmental impact reduced.
Carbon footprint
  • Pressure transmitters are manufactured under the NYPS (New Yokogawa Production System), with production volumes leveled and the entire manufacturing process improved, while inventory disposal is minimized.
  • Pressure transmitters are manufactured with continuous efforts to reduce CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 and 2) through factory-level energy‑saving initiatives.
Logistics Carbon footprint
  • Pressure transmitters are packaged using materials that are under review, and the amount of plastic used in product packaging is being reduced.
Usage Longebility
  • Pressure transmitters are being continuously improved to increase mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Pressure transmitters are enhanced for long‑term stability, and the frequency of periodic calibration is reduced.
Repairbility
  • Pressure transmitters are supported with information on replacement parts, and repairability is being improved.
Maintainability
  • To enhance maintainability, pressure transmitters are designed to allow on-site tasks—such as loop testing, tag changes, and range adjustments—to be performed without the use of dedicated tools.
  • For efficient maintenance and troubleshooting, pressure transmitters support diagnostics and configuration using a variety of tools, including FieldMate.
  • Throughout the product lifecycle, pressure transmitters are supported by maintenance manuals, calibration certificates, material certificates, and other relevant documentation provided via the member portal site, contributing to improved maintainability.
End of Use Lifecycle management
  • Pressure transmitters are continuously being redesigned to shorten disassembly time.
  • By continuously reviewing packaging methods, the ease of processing packaging materials is being improved.
The Entire Lifecycle Goal setting and management system
  • Pressure transmitters are designed and managed based on Yokogawa’s Trusted Green guidelines and our own standards.
