How should I handle "960 Ribbon shift error"?

For new products, make sure you have removed all protective materials from the inside of the unit. If you have used the product before, turn OFF the power, remove the ink ribbon, then turn the power back ON again. If the error persists, servicing is required. Please contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product.
