Lopez Sugar Chooses Yokogawa CS3000 DCS

Lopez Sugar Corporation (LSC) joins the ranks of sugar mills to
use Yokogawa Centum CS3000 DCS for its seeding and refinery vacuum
pans.
This is LSC's first major automation project as part of its
long term plan to address their competency in the sugar market.
The award also marks the debut of the CS3000 R3.04 in the sugar
industry.
The project was won over from the competition, after the end-user
talked to other sugar factories using Yokogawa DCS. In the beginning,
the end-user had accepted the packaged process solution of the competitor,
but having heard of other Yokogawa users of the ease to operate and ease
to modify, together with the local availability of after sales support,
Lopez Sugar decided to choose CS3000. The CS3000 R3.04 would be
the platform on which the succeeding phases over the next five years
will be integrated.
