[Vortex Flowmeters VY series] Why is saturated vapor pressure necessary for liquid calculations in vortex flowmeter sizing (model and size selection)?

Saturated vapor pressure is the pressure indicated by vapor that has reached condensed phase thermodynamic equilibrium at that temperature. Liquids can cause cavitation (bubble generation) depending on temperature and pressure conditions. This can inhibit the generation of the Karman vortex and becomes flow measurement impossible. Therefore, saturated vapor pressure is required. If there is a possibility of cavitation in the sizing program, a warning message will be displayed. For fluids that can be selected within this sizing program, the saturated vapor pressure value is automatically set, but for "other fluids", please specify the value from the customer.
