Yokogawa launches amnimo Inc.
–Development of new services that will leverage our IIoT architecture–

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has announced the launch of amnimo Inc., a business unit that will be tasked with identifying, developing, and offering services that can add value by leveraging the industrial IoT (IIoT) architecture which is currently under development by Yokogawa. The first of these services are scheduled to be rolled out later this year.

Objectives of launching this business unit
In November 2016, Yokogawa set up a new division on the U.S. West Coast, Architecture Development Division in California, to develop a robust and flexible foundation for the provision of new IIoT services. Based on a collaboration agreement that Yokogawa concluded in February 2017, this division began partnering with Microsoft and other leading IT companies to develop a secure and easy-to-use IIoT architecture for customers.

amnimo Inc. aims to identify, develop, and deliver IIoT architecture-based solutions which is one of the measures that Yokogawa is taking under its new Transformation 2020 mid-term business plan. The plan enables customers to achieve a transformation in their businesses. By simplifying their business processes, the companies will be able to speed up decision making and respond promptly to swift changes in the market environment. Also, it is expected that this company will be able to build strong relationships with customers and partner companies in various fields by working closely with them to co-create IIoT technology solutions that deliver new forms of value.
