Can you give me details on the "Super2" function? (Affected products:Green series)

Even when you expand the applicable range of the PID constant, the process states fluctuate, or response is unstable and hunting occurs (control responses fluctuate), this function is effective for stabilizing control and suppressing hunting. Normally you can suppress hunting occurs by lowering the gain of the feedback loop (widen the proportional band), but if you lower the feedback gain the response rate also slows by an equivalent amount. However with Super2, compensation occurs at the PV phase while the gain stays the same, therefore hunting can be suppressed with little change in response.

  1. When you can't apply auto tuning in the actual operating environment
  2. When operating conditions change due to changes in recipes and other factors
  3. Effective for wide temperature range settings in ovens, etc.
