Yokogawa is undertaking initiatives that will open up new possibilities in the space industry by leveraging the proven, highly reliable measurement, control, and information technologies that have been used in mission-critical applications. Based on these technologies, we are developing products and services that will meet a diverse range of needs on Earth, in Earth orbit, and on the lunar surface.
Details
Earth

Rocket Propellant Production / Vehicle Launch Facilities
Sensors and control systems from Yokogawa that have been proven in high-risk oil, gas, and chemical plant environments enable the highly precise measurement of temperature, pressure, flow rate, and other parameters, as well as safe and efficient control.
Research and Development
We provide measuring instruments for fundamental research and the development of cutting-edge technologies. Our oscilloscopes, power analyzers, data loggers, and optical measuring instruments support a wide range of applications, including the development of launch vehicles and satellites.
Earth Orbit

Space Stations
Our wide range of life science solutions include a confocal scanner that is currently in use aboard the International Space Station. We also provide gas analysis and other measurement and control instruments that can be directly used in environmental control applications.
Satellite Date Utilization
Yokogawa has conducted research into the analysis of satellite image data for use in forestry management, and data from synthetic aperture radar satellites for disaster prevention in tailings dams. We are currently developing a water leakage detection solution that will integrate data from ground sensors and satellites.
Lunar Surface

Measurement and Control Products and Services
By adapting industrial measurement and control technologies that have proven themselves in terrestrial applications, Yokogawa is developing high-performance and highly reliable products for use in space. We are working to meet customers’ needs for the development of computer components that can withstand the harsh conditions encountered outside the Earth’s atmosphere, including on the lunar surface.
Topics
International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026)
Yokogawa will be participating in the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), which will be held October 5 – 9 at the NEST Congress & Exhibition Center in Antalya, Türkiye. IAC is one of the world's largest international space conferences, bringing together space agencies, industry leaders, researchers, and innovators from around the globe, and this year's theme is "The World Needs More Space."
Yokogawa's Space Business Development Office will be exhibiting within the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) booth, showcasing our initiatives and technologies for the space sector, including our efforts to support lunar exploration and the development of future space infrastructure. We warmly welcome you to our booth!
