EcoVadis gold

Founded in 2007, EcoVadis is a rating agency that helps companies improve their environmental and social practices through their global supply chains. The agency has assessed more than 90,000 companies from over 160 countries across 200 industry categories in terms of corporate policies, initiatives, and achievements in four areas: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Many global companies refer to EcoVadis assessment results as an important criterion when selecting trading partners from an ESG perspective.

Yokogawa has participated in the annual assessments since 2013, receiving a Silver rating each year. This year, the company maintained its high score in the environment and sustainable procurement areas while significantly improving its score in labor & human rights due to the setting of new targets for human resource development and diversity.

As its three sustainability goals, Yokogawa is working to achieve net-zero emissions, make the transition to a circular economy, and ensure well-being, and has established medium-term targets for each goal that are to be achieved by the years 2023 and 2030. Yokogawa will continue to contribute toward a sustainable society by placing a strong emphasis on sustainability in all its business activities.
