Yokogawa as a ‘Reassuring Choice’ in Providing Analyzers for pH- and Conductivity Measurement to Nerefco

Nerefco (Netherlands Refining Company B.V.), a large crude oil company in Europe, located in the Rotterdam port area of Europoort, produces an extensive range of environmentally conscious semi-finished and finished products. In diverse production processes, Nerefco has adopted Yokogawa analyzers for pH- and conductivity measurement. Mr. Hey, Reliability Engineer at Nerefco, has no doubt on selecting Yokogawa. "Yokogawa always has a solution for any problems. Technology is still a driving force for the company, and you can see that in the solutions that are put forward and the way in which they are subsequently implemented. This is a very reassuring thought for us. But you can also count on a fast delivery of spare parts. This makes it unnecessary for us to maintain a warehouse stock. The fast delivery of spares is the most cost-effective solution for us." Read more >>

DAQ Stations for Aluminum Recycling Plant

Alcoa is the world leader in aluminum production and is active in all aspects of the production chain: from extraction and refining to smelting, manufacturing and recycling. The DAQStations were the first to be used in the homogenization process. The old, limited-access writers have made way for the Yokogawa recorders. Hans van de Berg, responsible for data analysis at Alcoa, explains: "At the touch of a button, the data on the highest, lowest and average temperature and their variations are now available per batch. A world of difference compared to the old writers. "The positive experiences have led to the DAQ station also being used in the casting process." Traditionally, only the casting process was measured. However, customers are increasingly asking for more information. Cooling data, pouring speed, water quantity, pressure and water temperature are data that are increasingly needed. These data can now be delivered in no time.” DAQ stations greatly proved Alcoa’s worth in the production of soft alloy. Read more >>
