Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC) Technical Online Event (via Skype) | In OT security, how much is enough? | 20th May 2020 – 18:30

Join Yokogawa’s Rob Turner as he presents: 'In OT security, how much is enough?,’ an online event which evaluates cyber security in the Operational Technology (OT) domain.

OT-Cyber-Security-UKThe event, which is to be hosted by the Institute of Measurement and Control on 20th May at 18:30 (via Skype), evaluates industry guidance such as the HSE’s Operational Guidance note OG-0086, which talks about “appropriate and proportionate steps to reduce cyber security risks,” but unlike functional safety, there currently is no method to quantify risk, or risk reduction.

Learn the three most important components in assessing ALARP; and examine the process in the IEC 62443 standard “Security for industrial automation and control systems - Part 3-2: Security risk assessment for system design,” with some hints and tips along the way for how to make it work.

Please contact Megan Hine at the Institute of Measurement and Control to register. We look forward to meeting you!
