Plant Resource Manager (PRM) is a key platform for the Yokogawa VigilantPlant Asset Excellence initiative. An online and centralized automation asset management system, PRM helps both operators and maintenance personnel prevent downtime, and reduces maintenance costs.

1. PROFIBUS Support

PRM now supports PROFIBUS DP/PA devices and HART devices that are connected with PROFIBUS DP. Communication with the PROFIBUS fieldbus is handled via third-party devices using CommunicationDTM and GatewayDTM open interface functions.

2. Field Wireless Devices Support

Support of ISA100.11a compliant field wireless devices has been added. Communication with these devices is done via a field wireless integrated gateway.

3. CommunicationDTM/GatewayDTM Support

When a vendor’s CommunicationDTM/Gateway DTM is installed on a communication server PC, PRM can communicate with field devices via communication protocols. Via CommunicationDTM/GatewayDTM, PRM can be used to set and adjust field device parameters. PRM supports PROFIBUS communication devices and field wireless integrated gateways.

4. Maintenance Marks

Maintenance marks are used by maintenance engineers to identify the status of a device. By linking maintenance marks with operation marks on the CENTUM function blocks, maintenance engineers and operators can share the same device information and coordinate their work.

PST Scheduler brings precision, efficiency, and integration to the PST process. PST Scheduler can schedule an automatic, semi-automatic, or manual PST and automatically record test results for a safety valve connected either to a Yokogawa ProSafe-RS Safety Instrumented System. PST Scheduler works with safety valves from the four leading vendors.

FieldMate™ is a versatile device management wizard used to adjust and set parameters of field devices. All adjustments and settings made with FieldMate can be monitored and managed from a PRM window.

PRM supports the FOUNDATION™ fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS, and ISA100.11a communicaitons protocols, ensuring an extensive range of devices to choose from. PRM fully embraces an open, rich, and intuitive access to intelligent field devices.

PRM supports FDT/DTM (IEC 62453) and EDDL (IEC 618043). PRM accesses, provides appropriate setting and adjustment environment, and displays field device status.
