If I set the recording interval to Auto, what happens to the dot printing interval?

It is set automatically so that dots do not overlap on the chart paper. The dot interval (space between dots on the chart paper) is determined by the chart paper feed speed (chart speed). You can check the recording interval in the system display. For details, see the user's manual.
