Field Assistant

Yokogawa's "Field Assistant" is an enabler for digital transformation of field activities in process plant, such as operator’s round, basic equipment care, predictive maintenance, and so on. 
It helps to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and seamless communication, not only for work inside individual department, but crossorganizational work.
It consists of simple on-premise server, web client & tablet applications. 
The tablet application is designed to work off-line during field activities.

- NFC / QR Code scanning for detecting tag name of a device in front

  • NFC / QR Code scanning can be set as mandatory for inputting field readings

- Adding logs on any devices or plant hierarchies
- Photo / video / sound recorded can be added onto any logs as attachment

  • Max 5 attachments /log
  • Video file size is restricted to 10 MB /file (about 20 sec. as 640 X 480 resolution)

3. Doc reader app

- Refer to device related digitalized document from tablet

  • Available file type depends on apps installed into a tablet

- NFC / QR Code scanning for referring related document of a device in front

 

Integration with Yokogawa Operations Management (OM) System

1. OM Work Instruction (WI) can trigger an inspection round, which is preconfigured in the Field Assistant

2. OM WI with a step-by-step Instruction & its compliance check, can be sent & executed in the Field Assistant
