Established in 1974, Yokogawa Singapore serves as the regional headquarters for Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Taiwan. It unites four business entities, Yokogawa Engineering Asia (YEA), Yokogawa Electric International (YEI), Yokogawa Electric Asia (YAS), and KBC Advanced Technology, under one brand with a workforce of over 790 employees.
Over the years, Yokogawa Singapore has evolved into a regional innovation hub, integrating manufacturing, sales, engineering, and service functions under one roof. Equipped with advanced solutions, R&D capabilities, and 24/7 global response centres, the office delivers projects of scale and complexity with reliability and expertise. As a Centre of Excellence, it drives global business strategies while supporting regional market needs, aligned with Yokogawa’s vision of creating sustainable value for society.
The Singapore office also hosts the Singapore Development Centre (SGDC), Yokogawa’s largest R&D facility outside Japan. Since its inception in 2004, SGDC has become a hub for co innovation, digital transformation, and AI solutions, with more than 100 specialists collaborating on pioneering projects worldwide. Facilities such as the Co Innovation Centre and AI Lab further strengthen Yokogawa’s innovation ecosystem.
In 2024, Yokogawa launched the Sustainability Incubation Hub (SIH) in partnership with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). As the first corporate R&D hub dedicated to advancing sustainable innovations in process manufacturing, SIH provides a collaborative platform for customers and partners to co develop frontier technologies that accelerate the transition to a net zero future.
As an ISO certified company, Yokogawa has earned numerous industry recognitions throughout its long standing presence in Singapore. The regional headquarters also serves as the manufacturing base for Distributed Control & Safety Systems (DCS) and Measuring Instrumentation, and as a Global Engineering Centre overseeing multinational mega projects.
