Compact size, plug-in style and microprocessor based high performance capabilities (Multi-function types) makes the VJ Series an excellent choice for almost every application. Analog output, Hi-Low alarm relay outputs or RS-485 MODBUS communication is available as optional second output. Various parameters such as input range and computation programs can be set and modified using a PC (VJ77) .

Taking advantage of sensors already available in your system, you can simply add VJ series signal conditioners or the UM33A Digital Indicator with Alarms to easily build a monitoring system on a PC.
Load devices are sometimes used when evaluating (measuring) DUT performance. Depending on the parameter being evaluated, multiple controllers can be employed to control the performance of the load device, but there are also times when the load device uses only one actuator.
With advances in process automation comes a greater need for level measurement and control. As pressure on at the bottom surface of a liquid is proportional to the height of the liquid's surface, you can measure pressure using a differential pressure transmitter to detect the level of the liquid, acquire the data on the UT75A Digital Indicating Controller, and use the measurements to control the tank level.
- Effeciently controls the inlet valve and blow-off valve when the compressor starts and stops.
- During steady operation, controls the inlet valve so that the amount of discharged compressed air becomes constant (flow control)
- Surging: Load decreases, the amount of discharge flow and pressure drop, and a limit is exceeded, possibly destroying the compressor.
HART communication is a means of transmitting multiple signals by superimposing long-standard 4-20 mA DC analog signals on digital signals. The figure below is an example of connecting field instruments and upstream devices using HART communication compatible VJA1/H signal conditioners.
This introduces use of a contact input multiplication/addition computing unit that employs a user program of the MXT computing unit (XJJM.507) on fluid mixture and other calculated measurement outputs from flow meters. The figure below shows examples of connecting various field instruments to an upstream system.
Many signal conditioners have been used on the input and output sections of large-scale distributed control systems (DCSs) for isolation purposes. Recently personal computer-based instrumentation and measurement systems have become popular and brought with them significant functional enhancements.
