Remote OME
The FA-M3 R supports remote operation maintenance and engineering (OME), hereafter referred to as Remote OME.

Remote OME via Ethernet
The FA-M3 R is the world's first* PLC that supports remote maintenance of multiple devices installed in distant locations, via an Ethernet connection. A camera at the device location can relay a live picture of the device to the person performing the remote maintenance procedure.
The following can be performed remotely using the standard features of WideField:
| - | Editing/ loading/ saving programs, monitoring ladder diagrams, monitoring devices, monitoring operation statuses, and reading data. The personal computer link feature can also be used. |
| - | System log, user log, and sampling traces that fully support remote OME |

| * | Programs cannot be developed or modified with any other manufacturer's PLC. An F3LE01- 5T Ethernet interface module and a personal computer running Windows 95 or Windows NT are required. |

Remote OME via Modem
An FA- M3 R installed in a remote location can be maintained using a modem connected to a public telephone line.
The following can be performed remotely with the standard features of WideField:
Editing/ loading/ saving programs, monitoring ladder diagrams, monitoring devices, monitoring operation statuses, viewing system log, reading various data, and more.
