Since its establishment in 1957, Yokogawa Corporation of America has grown to become a leading manufacturer and supplier of test and measurement, field instrumentation, process control, and information solutions throughout North America.
Originally established as Yokogawa Electric Works, Inc. in New York, the company became Yokogawa’s first overseas affiliate and established its presence in the North American market. In 1980, Yokogawa opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Newnan, Georgia, providing a broad range of capabilities, including product manufacturing, modification, customization, and full-service calibration.
Yokogawa continued to expand its capabilities and presence throughout North America. In 2002, Measurementation, an engineering, consulting, and fabrication company specializing in analyzer system integration, became fully integrated with Yokogawa Corporation of America. Its capabilities span analytical system design, equipment selection, and system manufacturing.
In 2005, Yokogawa Canada, Inc. was established in Calgary, Alberta, followed by Yokogawa de Mexico in Mexico City in 2006. The following year, Yokogawa Corporation of America acquired Analytical Specialties, Inc. (ASI), establishing a Laser Analysis Division in Clear Lake, Texas. In 2009, the company relocated its headquarters from Newnan, Georgia, to Sugar Land, Texas.
As technological advances continue to transform North American process industries, Yokogawa Corporation of America has expanded its technology and service presence across the United States, including locations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This expanded local delivery and support infrastructure helps customers improve the efficiency, reliability, and productivity of their investments in Yokogawa control systems, advanced solutions, field instruments, and analyzers. It also reflects Yokogawa’s continued commitment to meeting regional demand for advanced measurement, control, information, and support solutions.
