Career Stories - Miklos Gabor

“We achieve our success with innovating new solutions together with our customers, which is a real exciting process for our team.”

How would you describe your job and role at Yokogawa?
Not only Control Engineer oriented people are working here; I’m a Chemical Engineer and can show my skills and competencies in that field. Yokogawa also appreciates my research experience which I gained during my PhD thesis in Process Control. My role is very exciting as I work in a team with colleagues with very different skills and cultures.

What is the most remarkable thing you have done at Yokogawa so far?
We have built a team in Hungary for Advanced Solutions (e.g. Advanced Process Control, Operator Training Simulator, Combustion One) for Central Eastern Europe. I was the first Engineer in this team in 2014 and now we already have 4 Engineers. We achieve our success with innovating new solutions together with our customers, which is a real exciting process for our team. The quality of our solutions are door-openers for other parts of the business and valued by our customers.

Yokogawa values 'quality of life' for their employees. How do you experience that in real life?
Yokogawa supports flexible working-time, which in return helps us achieve a good work-life balance. The objectives are measured on quality not on quantity of output. In addition, we have a team- and family-oriented working atmosphere.

Why should talented people consider Yokogawa as a potential new employer?
Yokogawa provides excellent opportunities for young Engineers to develop their skills and competencies, e.g. being part of exciting projects from the very beginning and gaining experience directly, but also supported by experienced Consultants. What I like very much with Yokogawa is, that you can get support from colleagues all over the world quite easily.
