Introduction Angel yeast Co., Ltd. dominates yeast and deep-processed products, which are widely used in fermented pasta, food flavoring, brewing, and other applications. The company has yeast and deep-processed products production bases in 13 cities around the world. A total production capacity of 370,000 tons of yeast series products accounts for more than 17% of the global market. This scale of yeast series products has ranked second in the world.

Challenge

During the process, additives are inserted in the main tube of raw materials to add nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Since the nutrients are added in small amounts, the additives must be accurately measured and stabilized to ensure that the quality of the final product is within specifications. Over or under-dosing the raw materials will result in wasted additives and require the final process to the scrapped, thus increasing the process cost.

Solution

Yokogawa suggested the AXG electromagnetic flowmeter. With its dual-frequency excitation, the end-user customer could ensure the accuracy and stability of the measurement. The high frequency provided a rapid response and reduced noise, while the low frequency enabled a more stable reading, thus meeting the customer’s process requirements. After the implementation of AXG, the end-user customer was able to increase the efficiency of the process and reduce costs by eliminating waste.
