“In many situations Yokogawa acts as a modern company, accepting or even encouraging the employees to come forth with ideas to improve everybody’s comfort.”

How would you describe your job and role at Yokogawa?
Working for Yokogawa made me realize that I play an active role in successfully finalizing the projects I am involved in. In my role as a team leader I have an opportunity to help some of my colleagues grow and at the same time, I grow professionally as well. The interaction with my colleagues is the base for better results regarding our daily tasks and creating the true team spirit.

What is the most remarkable thing you have done at Yokogawa so far?
In 2008 I have spent 7 weeks in Singapore, for Shell Houdini FAT. We were testing together with the client. I had no error punches identified, which was by far better than any the other testing teams achieved. At that time, I was a Yokogawa employee for just about two years and the demand from the customer was rather high; I felt quite satisfied with the achievements from my team and our end-result.

Yokogawa values 'quality of life' for their employees. How do you experience that in real life?
In many situations Yokogawa acts as a modern company, accepting or even encouraging the employees to come forth with ideas to improve everybody’s comfort. Flexibility is the key. Knowing this, I feel more relaxed at times when my personal life requires more attention and it helps me stay focused when I must deliver. For most of the issues that came along, I found understanding in a constructive manner and this really makes a difference.

Why should talented people consider Yokogawa as a potential new employer?
Yokogawa can give new employees access to a variety of technologies, which translates as well in having multiple engineering departments within an organization. This can help them choose a more suited job. Here, talented people will find a good environment to build further on their engineering skills. Insider’s tip: I recommend our new colleagues to share their passion as much as possible, to draw the attention on their talent. It helps.
