Yokogawa Europe B.V. Welcomes Employees’ Families for Inaugural Kids Day

Yokogawa held its first Kids Day in Europe on May 28, 2026, at the Amersfoort office in the Netherlands, welcoming more than 60 children and over 120 parents and grandparents.

Originating in Japan, Kids Day is a family-friendly event, that invites employees and their children to explore the world of Yokogawa through hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and inspiring stories from across the organization.

Under the theme “Yokogawa Through Kids’ Eyes: Discover what we do every day,” the program featured a rich lineup of activities designed to spark wonder and bring families closer to the heart of what Yokogawa does. From mini engineering challenges and robotics demonstrations to a glass-blowing showcase and a “What We Do at Yokogawa” Story Corner, children and parents were able to discover, create, and connect.

A highlight of the event was the Yokogawa Values Trail — five interactive stations, each dedicated to one of Yokogawa’s core values: Respect, Value Creation, Collaboration, Integrity, and Gratitude. Families wrote notes of appreciation on the Respect Wall, solved puzzles together, debunked myths about technology and sustainability, and donated toys and books for a local charity at the Community Give-Back Corner.

Niels Koek, Managing Director of Yokogawa Europe Solutions B.V., commented: “It was truly rewarding to see our colleagues’ families experience Yokogawa firsthand and connect with what we do in such an engaging way – especially seeing that sense of curiosity and inspiration in the next generation.”

The event ran from 15:00 to 19:00 and included a welcome reception, guided activity sessions, a photo booth with Yokogawa’s Yoko Pup, a closing ceremony, and a family dinner featuring finger-food dishes. Dedicated Yokogawa staff accompanied all groups throughout, ensuring a safe and fun experience for every guest.

Kids Day reflects Yokogawa’s commitment to strengthening the bond between its people and their families, celebrating the culture that makes Yokogawa a special place to work.
