The first part of this webinar series ("Alarms, operating instructions and plant operators: A "team" for efficient and safe production!?") dealt with alarms and operating instructions. Both are intended to support the operator in driving the plant. Since this is often done inadequately, we have shown ways to analyze alarms and operating instructions, subsequently improve them and thus support the operator more efficiently.
In this second part we deal with two next steps: So first, with operator training. Because as good as alarms and operating instructions may be, the operator must be familiar with the implementation of what he "sees" and "hears" there. Second, we look at ways to provide "online real-time" operator support. This is about letting the operator "see the future" and thus avoid critical situations in the first place.
