I'm considering replacing my DARWIN with the SMARTDAC+ GX/GP. Will the communication commands stay the same?

You can use the DARWIN Compatible Communication function. You must configure your SMARTDAC+ GX/GP the same as DARWIN. For available commands, see “Using the DARWIN Compatible Communication Function (Release number 2 and later)” in user's manual (IM 04L51B01-01EN).
