Vnet/IP – World's fastest open control network
Yokogawa has developed 1-Gbps, open network protocol called Vnet/IP which provides open, reliable, and real-time broadband communications. Both CENTUM and non-CENTUM components can be connected to the network. Vnet/IP protocol is approved as IEC 61784-2 Ed.2.0 and conforms to IEEE 802.3 and UDP/IP.

Robust against Cyber Attack
Wurldtech Security Inc. has duly tested and certified Yokogawa’s Vnet/IP controllers, the AFV10D and AVR10D, with Achilles Level+ test, which ensures the end-point security of the controllers. The certificates for new controllers (released in July 2011) is now under progress and will be available soon.
Network Switches
Yokogawa has an agreement with Belden Inc. for supply and maintenance of Hirschmann brand, highly reliable, and high performance network switches for use with Vnet/IP.
These switches help establish reliable plant networks, and Yokogawa ensures a long-term maintenance support by showing the double logo on the products.
