Yokogawa's Global Network

Yokogawa's global network of 25 manufacturing facilities and 80 companies spans 54 countries. Since its founding in 1915, the US$3 billion company has been engaged in cutting-edge research and innovation, securing more than 7,200 patents and registrations.

Our engineers are ready to serve customers whenever and wherever in the world upon our customers’ demands. We take prides in accomplishing our missions to bring the VigilantPlant to customers.

Our service offices and maintenance engineers are ready to support our customers whenever needed throughout the plant lifecycle. Yokogawa provides a suite of comprehensive services to achieve safe, reliable, environmentally friendly and profitable plant operations, which is our VigilantPlant concept.

Revision/Version Up of System Software

Time to time, the system software is revised adding new functions, enhancing the existing functions, or fixing bugs. Not all the customers wish to update the software revision/version immediately after its release for many reasons, and they rather wait for the periodic shutdown to do it. Yokogawa ensures that whenever it is performed, even some revision/version ups in between are skipped, the system keeps working normally without interruption and the software is fully compatible.

System Modification & Expansion

It is often the case that a customer wishes to modify or expand the control system after it is installed. And it is always the customer’s biggest concern not to disturb the commercial operation and minimize the shutdown period, needless to mention the risks of cutover.

Yokogawa offers a virtual environment for FCS and HIS where both the control and operator functions of the CENTUM database can be tested without FCS hardware. It ensures the new programs work, reduces risks of system failures, and minimizes the shutdown period.

Upgrading (Revamping from Yokogawa to Yokogawa)

As part of lifecycle cost management, Yokogawa has paid particular attention to upgrading all CENTUM systems. It is simple, quick, and direct. It takes just one mouse click to execute an FCS upgrade.

Yokogawa's legacy CENTUM systems can be controlled and monitored from the newer CENTUM systems. For instance, CENTUM VP controls and monitors the plant operated by CENTUM V, CENTUM-XL, CENTUM CS or CENTUM CS 3000 via control networks. By utilizing the existing assets as much as possible, Yokogawa offers cost-effective way of upgrading the production control systems for the customers.

Migration (Revamping from non-Yokogawa to Yokogawa)

The CENTUM series has been under Yokogawa brand since it was released in 1975 and it never changed its brand name. Many of our competitors were either merged to other companies or disappeared from the market together with their control systems, and only a handful companies are still existing to-day.

Not satisfied with the existing non-Yokogawa control systems? Consider to migrate it to CENTUM VP. We have successfully migrated over 350 non-Yokogawa systems so far and the number is steadily growing.

To name a few: Bailey INFI90, Foxboro I/A, Emerson RS3/PROVOX/DeltaV, Eurotherm, Hartman & Brown ContronicP, Hitachi, Honeywell TDC2000/TDC3000/PKS, Siemens SIMATIC, Taylor MODCELL, Toshiba, Allen-Bradley PLC, etc.
