- Dated of Affected Products
Products shipped between December, 2005 and December 4, 2007
- Problems
- Between February 1 and February 29 of leap years (the next one occurring in 2008), the file creation date of files written to the CF card will be one day earlier than the actual date.
- The date assigned to files created on February 1 of a leap year will be January 1, 1980.
- Corrective Measures
- For firmware releases 1 and 2 if the FIFO function is OFF
- Please remember to interpret the given date as one day later.
- Files creation dates of January 1, 1980 should be interpreted as February 1.
* We will be accepting upgrade requests.
- For firmware release 2 if the FIFO function is ON, or if you plan to use the FIFO function in the future
Please upgrade the DX firmware to the latest version.
*Please refer to the detailed report below to check the firmware release number of your DXAdvanced series of recorders.
- Notes
- The file creation date is used in the list display and with the FIFO function.
- The dates assigned to data recorded in the files will be correct. The correct date will be read by the PC software.
- There is no problem with respect to data saved to internal memory.
- There is also no problem with data files transferred to an FTP server.
- Detailed Report
For upgrade instructions and other information, please refer to the detailed report .
If operations at your company may be interrupted due to this problem, please refer to Countermeasure 1 in the detailed report
- Recovering Data
The document below describes the procedure for recovering data when using the Style 2 Media FIFO function (if the temporary countermeasures of February 1 have not been implemented).
This procedure is not necessary if you are not using the Media FIFO function from Style 2, or if using Style 1, because data in the CF card is not deleted.
