Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that it has been selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Nippon Kenko Kaigi (NKK) to the "White 500" list of large companies with excellent health and productivity management practices. Companies of any size may be honored for their commitment to enhancing health in their local communities and for their engagement in the excellent health and productivity management practices advocated by the NKK. The White 500 list focuses on large companies that are working with health insurance societies to achieve excellence in their health and productivity management practices. Although the selection process will run until 2020, Yokogawa was selected early. The evaluation criteria are based on those used to select health and productivity stocks by METI and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Yokogawa is committed to enhancing the well-being of its employees by allowing them greater flexibility in work locations and times, enhancing the workplace environment, adjusting office hours, and introducing health programs.
To accelerate its efforts to improve employee health, in September 2016 Yokogawa adopted the following health declaration that states its basic policy on health and productivity management:
