Tokyo, Japan - Steptember 21, 2018

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has published the Yokogawa Sustainability Book to share its vision for the world in 2050 and the path by which it will seek to resolve issues and create value, with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.

In August 2017, Yokogawa established sustainability goals (Three goals) for the year 2050 that are guiding its efforts to achieve a sustainable society. In addition to presenting value creation themes and case studies in three different business fields related to the "Three goals," the Yokogawa Sustainability Book introduces Yokogawa human resource and environmental management initiatives that support the creation of value

Together with the publishing of the Yokogawa Sustainability Book, we have also enhanced our Sustainability website, which consists of pages with titles such as "Our Approach to Sustainability," "Environmental," "Social," and "Governance," with the aim of providing more information about our efforts in the area of sustainability and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). For the realization of the "Three goals," we have also disclosed Group-wide mid-term key performance indicators (KPIs) and specific sustainability targets for 2030 and 2020, along with information on the progress that has been achieved to date.

Through its activities in such business fields as energy, industrial materials, pharmaceuticals, and foods, Yokogawa plays an important support role that is contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. And by co-innovating with its stakeholders, Yokogawa is helping to create a brighter future for the next generation.
