蒸汽井用来从地下深处的地热储层中抽取由蒸汽和热水组成的流体。将流体混合物引入蒸汽分离器,从蒸汽中除去水分,蒸汽用于驱动发电机的涡轮机。涡轮机排出的低温蒸汽通过蒸汽冷凝器使水蒸气返回到液态,然后通过回注井将水返回到地下储层。
