When conductivity is below the 3 µS/cm, we recommend using the Enhanced Dual Frequency, HF2, option.

  • Sizes 1000 mm (40") and below: 20 µS/cm or greater
  • Sizes 1100 mm (44") and above: 50 µS/cm or greater 
  • Sizes 15 to 100 mm (0.5" to 4"): 0.01 µS/cm or greater
  • Sizes 150 & 200 mm (6" & 8"): 1 µS/cm or greater 
  • For an integral flowmeter: 12 W
  • For a remote flowtube combined with an AXFA11 converter: 20 W
  • For a remote flowtube combined with an AXFA14 converter: 12 W 

The standard accuracy for the output of an AXF is 0.35% of Rate/Reading.

Yokogawa also offers a high grade accuracy calibration option which provides an accuracy of 0.2%.


A calibration/flushing ring is a solid ring that is clamped between the process flange and the remote seal attached to a transmitter. It is used with flanged or pancake style remote diaphragm seals. Commonly, they have one or two threaded holes in the side of the ring called, “flushing connections.” It is unusual to order a calibration/flushing ring without flushing connections, but it can be used without flushing connections as a spacer or a heat dissipater. They are sometimes called flushing rings, because the flushing connections on the side of the ring allow the user access to flush out buildup on their process diaphragm. The main advantage is that you can you can perform this task without disconnecting the remote seal from the process flange. They are sometimes called calibration rings, because the flushing connections on the side of the ring allow the user to apply a known pressure source, and consequently calibrate the unit against that known pressure. This can be accomplished by sandwiching the calibration ring between the remote seal and a blank process flange. Calibration/Flushing rings are offered on the EJX118A, EJX210A, EJX438A, EJA118E, EJA210E, EJA438E, EJX118B, EJX210B and EJX438B as options in the model code sequence. Calibration/flushing rings are also offered on seals from WIKA and PIC.


Generally, you should order the bracket that is offered on the manifold, because if the transmitter needs to be disconnected, you don’t have to undo the piping or detach the flanged connection depending on the manifold type. However, make sure that the bracket used is feasible for your installation. Certain brackets have more configuration abilities than others. Pipe mount brackets are offered on manifolds from Parker PGI and Anderson Greenwood Division of Pentair.  


Larger diameter diaphragms have lower spring rates compared to smaller diameter diaphragms. Consequently, they are more flexible. As fill fluids contract and expand with temperature gradients from the process and ambient conditions, the larger diameter diaphragm can deflect without conveying a pressure change to the sensor. The smaller diameter, rigid diaphragm will not deflect as much and will cause drift in the pressure sensor reading proportional to the temperature change. This drift is usually small in magnitude.
